My 10 yr old reacted negativly to everything- Adderall, focalin xr, concerta, .... the Daytrana patch is the only thing we have found that does what it suspose to do and not cause him to be mean, ugly, argumentative....Like you we started by cutting the patch in 1/3 pieces, then half, then 3/4th, now whole. No huge side affects. We put it on first thing he wakes up 6:30 by school it seems to be working. The teachers notice an improvement.We take the patch off by 3:30 because he was having sleep issues (normally asleep at 8:30, was not asleeep until 10-10:30).We added Melatonin (?spelling)now sleeping by 9:00. Good luck and don't give up.
